because when your picture showed an x in a box i right clicked it and went to properties and saw that it was jpg and not JPG lol.

There are tons of sites with pictures of the heroes. This site, http://www.suikox.com, http://www.google.com with a search of "Suikoden pictures" should give you a nice result. Its always best to check out a few places.

Once you find the picture you like resize it to fit the '80 pixels' x '80 pixels' rule and host it on a site such as http://www.photobucket.com

You might also like to visit http://www.legacyofsuikoden.fr.st/ . It has avatars (appropriate size) of nearly all the characters from Suiko 1 to 3.
If you don't want to register to be able to host your image, try http://www.imageshack.us/ . Photobucket is better, though.
