Suikoden 5 Memory freeze!

I tried looking on the web before I came here for help, it seems I might be the only one with the problem.
My memory card works for all my other games including the Suikoden 3 & 4.

For some reason it will not load or save my game in Suikoden 5!
After about 3 years, i decided to try the game out again.
I started a new game. When i first had the chance to save it, it said it is "Checking memory card Slot 1.
Just freezes.

So i decided to try to load it & the same thing, it freezes & it says it is checking again.

I was wondering if anyone knows why or had the same problem?
I hope it is not the game, I dont think it is the memory card, maybe it is i dont know.
I thought I had a save slot but maybe not. I dont got any save slots for S5.

It is the MAX memory card with the 64 bites.

Think its the memory card. Had an unofficial memory card for my old Playstation, every now and then it clean swiped it's memory. They're not very reliable...

PS2 Emulator for the win! Save-state better than any memorycard.

Thanks & yea it does seem like the memory.
Weird I bought it at Circuit city like 3 years ago when the shop was still up.

Works for every game but this one. Yea i might have to find the original old one

With me I would rather buy my games & do it right.
Another reason why games are not making sales.
People download them on emulators.
Pretty soon they may charge us for doing that like they did with Napster if it keeps up like this!

That is just a false rumor. If people like games they generally pay for them.

There's ways of backing up PS1 and PS2 game saves these days, but the best one involves the use of the Memcard-to-USB adapter and a PS3.
It's definitely worth the time to check out, since it generates officially supported file formats.
