Has anyone heard of the book called Falling Leaves?

Post by Noraibah »

This is a true story of an unwanted Chinese daughter in Tianjin,China who moved to Shanghai(then to Hong Kong). This is truly a sad story that is so haunting that I believe should be read by almost everyone in the world. She even had an evil stepmother but most fortunately had an extremely good brain for she won the prize of the best young English writer long ago and became a doctor instead of a writer.

I really like this book because I kind of felt like I was adopted but was not.Though I do not know whether she felt the same way.

That's great. What's it called? And is it in English, too?
It's a pinky promise. If I break my promise you break my pinky.

It's all in English. But the books are quite old, actually. There isn't an actual Chinese translation since these sort of stories are looked down upon in Communist China. How shall I say this in Western terms? It brings great dishonor to the family and it is showing off family ugliness and bitterness in public.Thank you all for the views.
