It seems that Junko Kawano recently filed and got approved for a patent on a scheduling algorithm. All of this individuals inventions are registered for Konami so I think that we can safely assume that this is the same Kawano that we all have mixed feelings about. What does this mean? I have no idea, but I figured that I would throw this out there so that if some relevant project is announced, we can look back and reflect on this.
EDIT: Turns out that the site doesn't differentiate between Inventors of the same name so begin taking anything relevant to this with an even greater grain of salt.
Junko Kawano recently filed a patent.

Suikoden VI: Norma and Ernst Booking Agent RPG confirmed!
The applicant appears to be the printing company Brother, which means one of two things:
1. Junko Kawano is no longer with Konami, and has indeed left the gaming business altogether.
2. The patent website doesn't differentiate between different people who have the same name. This is substantially more likely than #1. Evidence? Look at the results for John Smith, the most prolific inventor of our time: http://www.ipexl.com/ipexlPatentSearch. ... ows=10&g=1

I didn't notice how the site doesn't differentiate between different people of the same name; that's just an awful querying system.

I'm a bit confused, does this mean it's very possible the next suikoden will have to do with norma and ernst?KoRnholio wrote:Suikoden VI: Norma and Ernst Booking Agent RPG confirmed!

No, what Kornholio said is a joke.
