Suikogaiden Vol. 1 Opening Theme Lyrics

Post by Kazie Solo »

Does anybody have the lyrics of Currents, the opening theme of Suikogaiden Vol. 1? I love the song and I'd love to have a copy of the lyrics, that is if anyone has them. Thanks! :D

I believe this is what your asking for so hope so lol.
Going with the silver flow
Of river wide with current deep and slow
I rest my wings made to soar
But can I fly anymore?

The river, it goes ever on
Can heart keep pace
Rushing swollen till dawn
Now, I shake off weariness
And go to meet what i can't guess

The heart has
These secret currents deep and without guide
To find out
Where they will lead I take the plunge eyes wide

(In the following, what is marked * is from the original op, ** from the a
capella version.)

* I like to know where you from
* And where you are going to want to travel on

** People move from home to street
** No one blinks a stay is to they life is fleet
** Where are you from where are you
** Going want to travel on

** The mournful wind blows ever on
** Can I keep love at life for you til dawn

Now I stretch out my wings again
And take back what I have said

The heart has
These secret currents deep and without guide
To find out
Where they will lead I take the plunge eyes wide

Hope this ok anything else just ask.
Some hooligan keeps disconnecting the alarm. I told Security to look into it. But no, no, they'd rather catch the guy who's stealing organs from the transplant ward!!

I don't know where you got those lyrics from, Pesmerga, but they contain a lot of inaccuracies.

Directly from my Orrizonte CD (I'd scan it, but my scanner's being screwy right now):
Goin' with the silver flow
Of river wide with current deep and slow

I rest my wings made to soar
But can I fly anymore?

The river it goes ever on
Can heart keep pace rushing swollen 'til dawn?

Now I shake off weariness
And go to meet what I can't guess

The heart has its secret currents
Deep and without guide
To find out where they will lead
I take the plunge eyes wide

People move from home to street
No one blinks as day yields to day, life is fleet

Where are you from?
Where are you going, Water Traveler?

The mournful wind blows ever on
Can I keep flooded love for you 'till dawn?

Now I stretch out my wings again
And take back what I lost then

The heart has its secret currents
Deep and without guide
To find out where they will lead
I take the plunge eyes wide
Edit, because I have a bad habit of prematurely posting:

As far as the Suikogaiden version goes, yeah, you just replace this
People move from home to street
No one blinks as day yields to day, life is fleet

Where are you from?
Where are you going, Water Traveler?

The mournful wind blows ever on
Can I keep flooded love for you 'till dawn?
with the other part. I don't have the first Gaiden music CD, but going by the other version, I'm pretty sure it should be
I'd like to know where you're from
And where you are going to, Water Traveler
and not
* I like to know where you from
* And where you are going to want to travel on

Yeah, I'm referring to the Celtic version. I had no idea it was on the disc, and then it started playing, and I was like, "What the HELL?" lol

Ah well. I know it's supposedly Celtic-style, but it just comes off as messy and bizarre.

one version in Genso Suikoden Celtic Collection III, though it has 2 voices, it doesnt have a musical feel to it.

then theres one in Genso Suikoden II Orrizonte, this only has one voice, but it has a more musical voice than the other.

then i guess theres one for gaiden

Already got to hear all three versions. I like the Suikogaiden one best. The Orrizonte one sounded okay after I repeatedly listened to it. The Celtic one, however... well, I've yet to appreciate it. Hehe. ^_^;
