True Runes & their counterparts

Post by The_Face_of_Death »

I know this has been mentioned vaguely in other threads, but not completely focused on the subject. What I'm talking about is all the regular runes that have to be descendents of True Runes. We only have a small number of true runes left to discover, but I don't know how they'll come up with enough TRs for all of the runes, especially special runes. Also, there are some TRs with counterparts that we haven't discovered yet. I Want to make a list of all the True Runes so far, their counterparts, and the runes without TRs.

Elementals -
True Fire- Rage, Fire
True Water- Flowing, Water
True Lightning- Thunder, lightning
True Wind- Cyclone, Wind
True Earth- Mother Earth, Earth

Soul Eater- Darkness
Bright Shield- Shield
Black Sword- Swords of Magic?
Rune of Punishment- Condemnation
Sun Rune- Dawn, Twilight, Sunbeam
Night Rune- Star Rune
Rune of the Gate- Front, Back, Pale Gate
Sovereign- ?
Hachifusa/Eightfold- ?
Beast Rune- Beast (Ernst's Rune)
Circle Rune-?

If anybody has any information, please add to the topic.

Hachifusa/Eightfold Rune - Eight Devil
Dragon Rune - N/A
Blue Moon Rune - N/A

As for the Beast Rune, it has been stated that Ernst's rune is not related to it.

Black Sword- Swords of Magic?
I really doubt that the Elemental Swords are born from the Dark Sword Rune. Its more likely that they were born from ,the elemental runes.

I hope this dousn't fall under a list thread.

I believe Gate Rune may also have Blinking rune under it.

I believe Ernst's beastrune most likely fits in with the rune that the werewolf from suikoden 2 held, Im drawing a blank on his name.

The Rabid Fang Rune.

I also agree that the Rabid Fang Rune, if it were to be placed under any True Rune, it would probably be the [True] Beast Rune, along with Ernst's Beast Rune.

By the way, no discussion of Suikoden V outside of its forums. This topic is gonna be moved.

Shield makes sense, but the Sword of [insert element] is a bit of a stretch.

Nope, no sword rune. You should look things up instead of relying on memory all the time, since you don't seem to have an excellent memory.

I disagree. The Sun rune causes destruction, while the sunbeam heals.

The sunbeam is not the child rune of the Sun rune. The only thing they have in common is the name.
