Also, the original story was mistranslated a lot between the Chinese and Japanese versions of it. And the games also follow the legend with the fact that most of your armies oppose a government, or several governments, and your army is referred to as "fugitives". So, in many small ways, the games and legends connect.

If my reading of japanese(pardon i could read the chinese part of japanese word which i dunno whatthename?blame on my english education lol)is called Meng Huan Shui Hu Zhuan meaning Fantasy Water Margin???

Meaning it more imaginitive than the orginal Water Margin where all the heroes talk about DaYi(honor or whatever crap)
