Well, we know the castle didn't collapse at all. Besides that, it's fact that the rune simply up and left L'Renouille.

Hmm...the Beast Rune making another appearance in another Suikoden would be interesting, but seeing how they've covered that rune, they may just move on to new True Runes.

It's true they probably won't focus on it but the fact is that the Beast Rune IS somewhere around. Just like the True Wind Rune, Winyd's half of the Gate Rune and the Sovereign rune. If this runes were to be destroyed it would be expected that they cause some kind of damage, something that didn't hapen in any of the cases.
