Main characters in mature games usually are anti-heroes. almost all the time. Most of the time they'll just do as they please.

Well the way you describe him doesn't make him seem like much of an anti-hero, more like a psychotic murderer. Anti-heroes are supposed to be heroic somehow, not just main characters. A perfect example of that is Saint's Row 2. The protagonist is a total murderous psychopath. They've got no motivation other than their own wants.
