Bad Snowe! Naughty! (spoiler)

Post by Felicitycat »

A while back on these boards, we were discussing Snowe, and someone(s) said that when he was executed, he said those things to make Hero feel guilty about executing him. I'm specifically thinking of the first encounter, because doesn't he say something different on the second time?

Is that true? Because I thought he was being honest. He did say, "I wish the days like this could go on forever." in the beginning of the game. So I thought he was just elaborating / reminding us of that.

But if he was just trying to make Hero feel bad. ... well, he's a freakshow then.

well thats somebodys opinion, I personally just think snowe felt remorse over everything and just starting talking about the old days before his head gets chopped off

"I wish the days like this could go on forever." He also said that when I executed him near the end of the game when you rescue him from the sea.

When I executed him (don't remember which chance it is), he said something reminding Lazlo of when they were training together to be knights and that it was like yesterday that they graduated.
And if I saw you dancing, I would spin you around, spin you around, turn your world upside down

Do you think he really was sad? Or was he just trying to make us feel bad about killing him?

Looking at his Rhapsodia self, it's probably genuine.

Didn't he say something about the kinkling ritual and how he let Lazlo carry the flame? I don't remember, doesn't matter.

I think that the game designers are trying to make you feel guilty for killing him, but Snowe is being genuine.

but the game designers also gave options like "Off with his head!", which is very harsh.

Yea Snowe's emotions are genuine since the beginning of the game.

Yes, I though he was genuine too.

But with all his jealousy and what not I wasn't sure. But on top of that, time had passed, and he really could have felt bad about all the crap they both went through. And wished for those good ol' days which were now a thing of the past.

if you had a phrase to sum up Snowe, it would be a "spoiled Brat" cause he's been spoiled from being the son of a lord of Razril.

His intentions are honest and true. But because he's spoiled, he's not "tough". That's why he runs away at first sight of battle.

Edit my first post

An edit to the first post on this thread --

Forget about whether or not he was trying to make Hero feel bad --

Snowe is a freakshow no matter what.

yeah but he did rat Lazlo out, so he may be sorry for that, right. especially if he realises he was wrong and the rune did it. (I havent played all suikoden 4 yet, so I dont know much)

[spoiler] (Suiko Tactics)

Sorry? Yes -- if, in Tactics, you have Hero and Snowe "Talk" to each other, Snowe does indeed apologize to Hero.

Also, if you look at Snowe's comments from the box, he talks about dreaming of the days when they were trainees. "Oh, the memories..."

I think snowe is by far the best developed character in S4. you sort of get to see his rise and fall so to speak. I've never executed him, but if it's near the end when you get him then i am absolutely positive that it is genuine. at that point he is a broken man. he literally has only the clothes on his back. So i think he is just wishing things were like they used to be, before his "downfall" so to speak.
