This a complete shot in the dark, but I think Mike looks an awful like Zaj. The pic at http://www.suikox.com/legacies/hvg/index.html was kind of dark but I thought the face and hair was similar. I'm probably completely off though.

DOusn' matter. I saw a picture of Zaj and his head is more square and longer than that of Mike.Plus I think Mike's real name is Leonard cause who would lie to a Bishop?

Wasn't Wyatt being chased by the Howling Voice Guild?

If mike WAS a member of the HVG, he could of been the person sent to kill wyatt , or at least keep tabs on him. Spoiler:

Then when Wyatt dies , Mike's job is over, but he decides to stay and help the Fire Bringer.

Possible...but Mike seems to have run away for the HVG and he didn't really seem commited to kill Wyatt.And HVG members are comitted...

I dont think Mike abandoned HVG. Heres how i think it goes.

-Mike gets sent to Grasslands in order to keep tabs on Wyatt and/or kill him.
-Wyatt dies, and Harmonia soon joins forces with the Fire Bringer.
- Now that the Harmonian army is part of the Fire Bringer, Mike recieves new orders to help the Harmonian army and the Fire Bringer.

When Mike is seen with people in "black hoods" they could of been messengers of the HVG , telling Mike his new orders.

.......Or I can be totally wrong , and Mike can just be any ordinary card player.
