Well, if you think about it The new Hero didn't own anything either. But I will say no more, I don't know if I'm allowed to mention anything from Suikoden 4. Anyway, What I mean is all the "Suikoden" heroes had the Tenkai star until Suikoden 3. I actually expected Hugo to have it in 3, but nope.
Hmm...

So, no.
Oh crud. I wondered what a two eyed Geddoe would look like.

Well, I would like to add to the 'Tenkai Star' thing. I believe that the Tenkai star doesn't neccessarily have to own a castle. Heck, the heroes tend to find/get one.
Tir- Found an abandoned castle for base.
Riou- Used Viktor's old hometown that was massacred by Neclord as base.
Thomas- He got it from his father because his father wanted to solve two problems.

All the hero needs as a place to call 'base' before he can recruit members.
Sid: He he he...
Riou: ??
Sid: Hoo Hoo Hoo HAHAHAHA!

I think it's the True Lightning Rune, because when Luc finally gets it from him, electricity comes out of that general area, aside from that he had kept it hidden for over 50 years.

So maybe he lost an eye and had it put in the empty socket and then covered it with his eye patch. What'd ya think?

No substantial eveidence on it but it makes sense to me. :D [/spoiler]
It's in his right-hand that's why he raises his right hand when he does true-lightning spells.
I've beaten Suikoden 1,Suikoden 2,Suikoden 3,Suikoden 4

I still have to beat Suikoden 5...

Pretty sad how people get thrown off on small facts... Sort of like a small town.

As for Geddoe being the oldest hero of the series, I think the hero from SIV would have him beat @ about 166 y/o.

What I can't understand is, why in all the flashback sequences is Geddoe wearing the same clothing. Don't ya think making all that money as a mercenary he could buy different clothes. I mean, come on, after 50 years they should be a little threadbare, unless the True Runes preserve clothing as well.

Obviously, the reference is to the age of the hero at the time we get to control him or her.

You should refer to the Suikosource Timeline
TO answer your question, Maximillian is born in IS 396, making him 64 years of age in Suikoden II's time. Liukan's age, however, is unknown.

In the manga, he was 36 when he got the true lightning rune 76 years ago. So, by doing the math, he's 112 years old.
