Bravo, Odessa. You only managed to raise a theory that was mentioned on this thread and several other threads about Jeane on these boards, including both that a moderator linked to earlier in this thread.
Hrm. Maybe that sounds a bit harsh, but I've just been reading too many threads lately where people helpfully offer their two cents, only to have it be something repeated multiple times at that point in the same thread. I can completely understand not reading the entire board archives; the board is huge. But please, people - and Odessa please understand this is by no means directed solely at you, because it isn't - read the thread you comment on before responding.

I have a totally fresh idea on Jeane I think. Well, I've never seen it anywhere else and it is total speculation and guessing on my part...Here it goes anyway.
I think Jeane is a mystic goddess of some sort and her entire existance in the world is maintaining a balance for the runes that are scattered all across the world.
Reasons:
1) She is a rune specialist. There really isn't anything about runes that she doesn't know. She is THE rune sage.
2) Like stated previously Konami has declared she does not have a true rune of her own and that she seems to be a seperate person every generation, but she looks the same and keeps the same name...? I think it seems more likely that when she passes she is reincarnated by the runes again in her usual state. (Which is pretty hot eh guys? )
3) She just looks like a goddess. Seriously. Think on that.
I know it is purely speculation and not very likely, but I can't think of anything that opposes it definitely.

Well...she doesn't quite have the legs of a mermaid. I suppose if there were some way outside of the Blue Moon Rune that a vampire could exist and could do so without killing humans, then she could be a vampire, but that's a weak case at best. Plus, if she were a vampire, she'd more than likely have red eyes as Sierra, Neclord, and every other anime vampire out there do.
