1. There is an online game based on the real Shui Hu Zhuan
2. Very few console RPGs have gone online, and even less are successful/popular. Konami has no reason to change their business structure. Online RPGs is a completely different business, and not all fans appreciate online games.
3. The Suikoden series focuses on a good story. Online games have no end so they will never have a great story. They also end up focusing on PvP, guilds, and power-leveling.
