either he dies waiting for Riou, he dies by Rious hands, or he, Riou and Nanami go on a journey togethr. The last option is mostly considered the "right" one because you see the three of them in Suikogaiden.

It's said they went to Harmonia then it's unknown where to from there.

They went to visit Jillia and Pilika at the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia (as seen in the ending of Suikoden II) then after that they probably just wandered aimlessly.

they basically go out traveling, visiting jillia and pilika, doing random stuff...wars do that to you. =P
