The Mermaids

Hi.

Through the gameplay of S4, we get to know a wholly new race... mermaids!
My question is: Does anyone know more about them, than what we get to know in S4? I mean, the only thing we know about their race is, that they are rare, and that they used to be hunted because of their skin.

The mermaids have only been seen and/or mentioned in S4, so everything that is known about them comes from that game.

Would be interesting to get to know them more, perhaps there are also a male species as well. If not, than I wonder how they reproduce. They also seem ditzy as heck.

As I recall, they're main residence is the Deserted Island.

I suppose they became Island Nations citizens after the Island Liberation War.

So, poaching a mermaid would be considered murder.

I suppose you're right. Would be nice if the next Suikoden installment included most of the known races.
