Suikoden Physics

Questions about the locations mentioned in the series; and those about the backstory not seen in the games.

Suikoden Physics

Post by ChikuChiyu »

I am interested in the know how.

I am perticularly interested in peoples oppinions on how the elevators work? more precisly, what motivates them, gives them momentum? What makes them work, asuming they dont use electrisity?

Perhaps there is some form of Internal Combustion, of Steam engine operating the elevation?

Any theories?

It probably steam or gunpowder machinery. The Howling voice guild uses gunpowder. That would mean that suikoden is approaching the industrialization era.

That changed the people's lives.

?? Good question. I don't know. I'd say they use strings and the griffon on top the roof, which is tied to the string that is tied to the elevator, pullin it up by flying up high into the sky!

Ha ha yeah cool! Very creative imagination, though not verry accuratly practical.

I also strted to think about a water wheel under ground, with a trap door.
Once elevation is requiered, the door opens, waters rushes in, the current turns the water and, few greas and ropes and the lift, goes UP

I think I heard from somewhere that they train monsters of some sort to move the elevator up and down. I think that in one of the Suikogaidens you run into someone training them.

Note: I'm taking all this from memory which may not be the most accurate thing in the world.

If you're talking gameplay, here it is:
Suikosource staff wrote:His elevator is actually powered by four "Elevator Barbarians" who lift the elevator with their muscular strength. They train in a forest close to Greenhill.
It tells you about Adlai's elevator.

Adlai's and Shizu's elevators are operated by "elevator barbarians", Sergei's runs on water, and I have no idea how Manu's works.

Nobody say anything about the elevator in Suikoden V or I'll be forced to hunt you down, kill you and make it look like an accident, as I haven't played it yet. Besides, it's against the rules =)

That elevator keeps being invented. How many times do people have to invent/inovate it?
