Matilda Knightdom

I forgot some stuff on how the Matilda Knightdom was created. Was it apart of the Dunan Monarchy and if so why did'nt they claim independce when the city-states were created?

The Matilda Knightdom was created by the other states to form a defence against Highland.

IS 280
To counter Highland's military strength, the Matilda Knights are formed with the financial support of Muse. Knights in surrounding areas join.

IS 294
Matilda Knights gain independence from Muse Rule. Land Reform to eqalize the cost of land in the Matilda Knight's Land and the land that belonged to the knights in Muse is issued.

IS 314
Muse, Southwindow, Two River, and Matilda Knights form the Jowstone alliance. The name comes from the Jowstone Hill where the alliance was signed.

So in actuality Muse sponsors the creation of the Matilda Knights before the Jowston City State Alliance is formed. Also, the Matilda Knights become indepedent from Muse 20 years before the creation of the City State Alliance.
