Tenjik

Questions about the locations mentioned in the series; and those about the backstory not seen in the games.

Tenjik

Post by Xelinis »

For the second inquiry on Estelle, Kidd digs this up.
Well, she's on her way to Tenjik to get an old book. That's very, very far away. Wow!
Could very well be another of Estelle's elaborate lies, but hey, it could have been Murayama making a Western Continent reference. Gordius turned out to be an actual location, but as I've discussed in another thread, Suikoden V's Falena may not be 100% accurate to Murayama's vision. That name may have just been an easter egg decided on by the game's staff.

What do you mean of Falena?

But yeah, this could be anywhere. Maybe even Harmoniaor another continent we even know nothing about. Too bad we will never get to know it, I guess :/

Tenjik is a romanized version of the Japanese word "Tenjyuku," which is how Japanese people used to call India a long time ago.
It's most often used in reference to the old Chinese fantasy "Journey to the West."

I've posted an article about this on the Suikoden Wikia.

How do you know it's supposed to be a country and not a city?

I don't.

But until Murayama comes and reveals everything he intended for the series (HA! :-(), I'm just trying to work with what I have.
