Does Ernst have the Beast rune? Same one from SII? Or did I completely miss something.

From what I could gather...He was too weak to control it and it cursed him.

Now suikosource lists it as a "Cursed Beast Rune" possibly from a village in "Zelant"

This is kinda confusing since the True Beast Rune from SII was also a cursed rune.

It's not the same Beast Rune as in S2, but because of translation problems it got the same name. To clear things up, maybe the rune held by the Blight family should be called the "True Beast Rune".

No, Ernst was cursed. He doesn't have the Beast Rune.

There was an error in translating the japanese name to english. Its true name is something like "magical beast rune." And I think it is pretty obvious that it is a child rune to the beast rune.

The runes have nothing in common. The Beast Rune represents things like bloodlust, rage, and passion, and it was represented by a 3-headed wolf. Ernst's rune turns him into a cheetah and gives him some spells based on sound or physical attacks, and it transforms him except when there is a full moon.

So Ernst was only "cursed" by a Beast Rune that he and Norma found as a kid

and Bob is bearing a Beast Rune 10 years later that allows him to maintain a human form...

so the question is are they the same Beast Rune? (forget the True Beast Rune, its out of the picture)
