I really never liked Snowe too much. Ok, I understand that his father forced him into leader roles even though he wasn't suited for them, but you could still do... good, can't you? Ok, the sudden pirate attack on a simple escort mission is quite a lot for someone who just graduated, but still.
Because Snowe is weak and panic, that`s all not easy for him then after a pirate attack I salute to him He still attempted to prove that He could, unfortunately not succesful even got a punch from Glen for the second time.

I always wondered if Lazlo felt guilty for taking on the pirate Brandeau when it led to so many deaths. Of course, we all know it wasn't his fault, but if he's like most people, he'll feel guilty anyway.

I figure that Flare's interest in Lazlo came from the fact that she could sense some closeness to him. She may have interpreted this as a crush. But I suppose it could be possible that they end up together. I mean, no one actually comes out and says that they're related, right? Lino comes the closest, but he has no way of knowing for sure. It's not like they can all go on Maury or something.

Hard to tell anything with lazlo, since he's pretty much silent, and doesn't even get any facial expressions. Of course most of the characters in suikoden 4 are poorly developed so it's hard to get a real good impression of the relationships between most of them. I get no romantic vibes from Flare; she has sympathy and compassion for Lazlo for sure, which can be learned from her confession:

Keen: Then, would you tell me what you think of Lazlo?
Flare: I feel sorry for him...
Flare: No, that's not right.
Flare: I want him to do well...

Beyond that little snippet, Flare doesn't have any real interaction with Lazlo though, so it's pure speculation to suggest she has any stronger feelings for Lazlo, beyond the general levels of support and friendship most of the stars of destiny have for him.

I never really got the romantic vibes from Flare to Lazlo either, and even though it was never said out right I definitely got more of a sibling style supportive vibe from her.

As for Snowe, not a huge fan of him,I get that his character could be compelling to some, but to me his characterization was too forced as the rich kid that thought he was awesome at everything and really sucked. It was like they tried recreating the Riou and Jowy relationship all over again.

I don't think Jowy ever thought he could do everything, though. People keep comparing him to Snowe, but I don't think they're very alike at all. The only thing they have in common is that they both "betray" the main character.

But Jowy's motives were pure all along. He may have been naive in thinking he could actually put an end to all war, but he was also extremely intelligent. All along, he had a clear objective in store, and there was no resentment in what he did. He also dirtied his hands quite a bit more; I don't think anybody died because of Snowe.

Snowe, on the other hand, was simply jealous of the attention Lazlo was getting. Consciously or not, this envy eventually led Lazlo to being exiled from the kingdom. He was hardly what one would call a genius, and although he had good intentions when he sold out Razril, that was because he was easily manipulated. He was nowhere near as mature as Jowy. Jowy was never made a laughingstock.

I don't think that Snowe and Jowy had much in common, other than being brought up in wealthy families with high expectations. All other similarities end there between just the two of them.
The only thing that I thought of was the best friend dynamic,I think the relationship between Riou and Jowy was much more compelling than the one between Lazlo and Snowe.

Because the storyline of Suikoden 4 is very weak not like Suikoden 2. when Jowy betrayed Riou We knew a lot the reason and his action as king Highland, in the end of war we also got know more about the relationship between them comparing from Snowe, surprise He sold Razril, became pirate, drowned in the sea and in the end of war we didn`t know more story about Lazlo and Snowe.

Yeah, the relationship could have been so much more compelling and relatable if they dug a little deeper into it. In my opinion I think I would have thought more of Snowe that way,Lazlo as well.
