Does anyone know what happens to Yuber in SIII after the final battle with him? I always wanted to know how did he get that summoning power that he uses in greenhill in SII, or whatever that rune is.

Do we know any info on this?

After 3, Yuber, being the mercenary he is, runs off to fight another day, grumbling about stupid humans. His ability to summon monsters appears to be a fairly standard ability of any true rune user, even if only the bad guys ever actually take advantage of it.

Like eldrasidar said, Yuber disappeared to fight another day. He did the same thing at the end of SI and SII. He has a thirst for conflict and bloodshed, so he has no reason to hang around as the wars are ending.

As for his affinity to monsters and summoning powers, it's unclear if this is a power given to him from his Eightfold rune, or a natural ability of his because Yuber himself is clearly not human.

It's obvious why he hasn't been around in Suikoden 4 or 5, conflicting timelines. If Windy wasn't around, he wouldn't either more than likely.

He got shot by a time bullet and ended up creating an alternate reality where Jowy sold his marriage to Jillia to the Beast Rune to allow Hellion to live for another 20 years. All of the events of Suikoden II happened in precisely the same way except that their marriage never happened, which of course has no adverse effect on the storyline whatsoever.

Joking aside (and if you got all of that, I do apologise), Yuber does keep running off, so like the others said, he's just done it again. He will continue to run until Pesmerga catches up with him.
