Warren's head gear

Post by JanusThePaladin »

Playing Suikoden 1 again. Something always bothered me about this game. Whats up with Warren's head gear? He seems to be wearing the same head gear as the Knights of the Dragon's Den. Is this just a coincidence or is there a connection?

Dragon's Knights:

Milia: http://www.suikosource.com/chars/list/?char_id=377

Futch: http://www.suikosource.com/chars/list/?char_id=635

Sharon: http://www.suikosource.com/chars/list/?char_id=795

Its probably nothing, but its just one of those things that bugs me.

His (to me) looks more like something he tied around his head, while theirs is more metal and 'wing-y'

Also, Warren's headband is only on one side from the looks of that picture.
I could be wrong.

According to staff interviews including Kawano and Murayama (in the Suikode 1 official guide), Warren was supposed to have a bigger role in the plot of Suikoden 1 but they axed it due to various reasons (mainly due to lack of space in the CD, according to them). This is the same reason why Camille's role was significantly reduced. This is why both Warren and Camille show up in the opening of Suikoden 1 despite their relatively small role.

Oh yes, Warren's weapon is a spear, and it's named after Norse mythology stuff, just like other Dragon Knights. Perhaps he was supposed to have something to do with them in the axed plot. I guess we will never know, though.

that makes me sad. You'd think they could have included more story for him in the manga. It did seem kinda odd that a man with 2 lines would end up heading the Toran Senate....
