I think it depends on the strength of the hit sometimes. If a character has low HP and gets hit with a critical, they're probably more likely to die.

I'd say it's been a 75-25 chance of them dying versus withdrawing for me.

Mu characters would be hit with 1hp over what htey had and died, when they were 2 levels higher than the enemy. XD
