The first Suikoden is the "Gate rune war"
the 2nd is " Dunan unification war"
What's yhe 3rd and 4th suikoden war are called?

3rd is the 'second fire bringer war'...haven't played the 4th yet though.

The fourth war isn't named yet. Also, we can't discuss events in that game on this thread. Go to the Suikoden 4 threads to discuss Suikoden 4 so people won't be spoiled.

Actually, the official name Konami gave to Suikoden 3's war is the "Hero War." That's right. It was mentioned in a recent publication.

What makes this a crappy name is that they already used it. Hikusaak's rebellion that toppled the Kingdom of Aronia was also called the "Hero War." Oh well.

Great, so from now until the end of History, all of us are going to have to refer to this war as:

The second "Hero War"

We have to mention "the second" so no one will be confused.

You can't capitalize it because it isn't part of the name, it's just called the Hero War.

That dosen't make sense as the latest 'hero war' as its not related to the last 'hero war' and dosen't suikoden III focus on four differnt people 'Ged, Hugo, Chris and luc?' So which hero of the war was the actual hero? (not luc of course)

Well, you play as Hugo, Chris, Geddoe, Koroku, Thomas and Luc, but I'm guessing the 'Hero' would be whomever the player chose to be the Flame Champion.

On a side note, it's very lame of Konami to name a war the Hero War in general, even Hikusaak's rebellion, since all wars have heroes, to some extent.

I think he was. I wonder if we'll see Geddoe, Chris, and Hugo in any future installments? Will they have set runes or will they be determined by loaded data?

It should be set runes. Otherwise people who killed their party members in the first Suikoden via war battle, wouldn't have anyone alive in Suikoden 2.
