so, the trade shop in le buque, it makes sense that they'd have one, since although le buque couldn't leave to go trade with other places(except caleria somehow, where there is a merchant with his son) people could still go to le buque and trade. trade shops also probably represent the local general store, so they likely were very useful to the locals. the same thing would apply to other places that have shops with no seemingly good reason to have one. Alma kinan has plenty of good reasons to have a rune shop-perhaps less needing to have war runes, but runes have plenty of uses, and there are likely to be plenty we don't see in the suikoden games that aid in all sorts of purposes. even a money system makes sense, since people forget that alma kinan wasn't always secluded, and monetary systems have been shown to be superior to a barter system, so if you'd had outside contact with monetary system, even if you then lose contact with that system, you're still likely to use money, because it's easier.
