Does suikogaiden have anime cutscenes?

So do you just see picture after picture? No animation?

In the game, you unlock still pictures that will be added on to your gallery. The pictures are unlocked depending on the actions you select.

There is no animation cutscenes as mentioned above. The in-game scenes usually have a character who Nash is speaking to in the middle section of the screen and changes his or her facial expression depending on what they are saying.
