What was the Suikoden2->Suikogaiden save supposed to unlo

Sadly, my Suikoden2 US save didn't work.

I had that problem to. Sadly only Japanese Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 2 saves will work for the Gaidens.

Basically loading the Suiko 1 and 2 saves into the Gaidens gives you more scenes (for Gaiden 1 you will only get the name you called the hero of Suiko 2. For Gaiden 2 however not only will you get the names for both heroes you will also get extra scenes).

The scenes I refer too are when Viki is teleporting Nash around everywhere. For instance if you load the Suikoden 1 data you will get an extra scene of Kasumi and McDohl reminiscing etc.

What is unlocked when you load a complete Suikogaiden Vol.2 in Suikoden 3 japanese version? I am already underway to doing it, but I need to know what the suikogaiden2 to suikoden 3 load feature does.
