im stuck, im ath the part before the final battle and i need 1 more star of destiny...ayame. she isnt showing up in the north cavern? its usuallu a treasure boss. can someone help me out here?

You must recruit Ayame before you start the True Water Rune Event. After getting the rune , you won't be able to get her.

One thing you forgot to mention. Watari must also be in your party after talking to him in the castle. You must play as him to duel Ayame to get her to join you.

i've never heard this affects Ayame's recruitment. can anyone else confirm?

That's not true. I got Ayame once near the end of the game.

you can get all the stars of destiny in III up until you go to the ceremonial site. This is the only game that you can wait until just before the final battle to do any recruiting....
