Chris can't do - Chapter 1 and 2

So I'm curious if anyone else has noticed that Chris can't play the lottery or loot dead bodies in chapter 1 and 2?

Maybe it was something weird on my end, I was using codebreaker which might've effected things.

I know for sure that she can never climb ladders with her usual armor, I think she can't loot dead bodies as well with that armor

Here's what I found from the walkthrough

Some of the better runes and items you can get will be found as random items
on the corpses, but they're very rare. I will note the good stuff in the
course of the Walkthrough section. Hugo and Geddoe can loot any time all the
time. Chris takes some time to get over her squeaky clean image and will loot
corpses from her chapter 3 onward. Thomas will never loot corpses but I love
trying to get him to do it anyway because he says, "What? Oh, cruel world!"
which never fails to crack me up (it reminds me of an associate over in the
English department).

You can't play the lottery with Chris until her Chapter 3
but you really don't need to until then (if at all) anyway. Chris also won't
loot corpses until Chapter 3.

So does she lose the capacity to loot corpses and play lottery again in chapters 4&5?

No, she can do them all starting from chapter 3

She however, will lose the ability to climb ladder again in chapter 4 when her armor changes(I always thought it was sad you couldn't swap between her two outfits after)
Her downsides are however I think more than made up for by her access to the zexan hall, which by chapter 5 has all the best standard gear.

The reason they don't let you change between her outfits, Story elements aside, is that her Chapter 3 get up actually changes her armor class so she can't wear the same stuff.

It's something interesting actually. If you cheat in a version of grassland Chris into your party and put the normal one in as well you can change the armor on one to allow the other to use stuff they wouldn't normally be able to. The statistics for them are both mirrored at all times so if you change anything on one it changes the other.

I always thought it was funny that in the war battles in chapter 4 prior to Chris changing into her armor, she would still wear her armor.

Maybe because the battle is done on horseback?

there is the battle in chapter 3 where she is in her grassland armor on foot.
