Personally, since I don't like just sticking Fury runes on everyone, I like to give her Counter & Killer runes to match up with her Parry & Heavy Damage skills. Not necessarily ideal, but it fits her character.

As far as being a mage goes, Lightning is obviously the way to go, but she will never be more than decent with it. I usually skip magic for her just because there isn't much point to having more than 3 mages in any particular fight. For Chapter 4 & beyond, I would really never bother bringing her servants as neither of them are very good.
