Yes, my favorite way to do Chris' level 99 trick is to save before the war battle, then go to her chapter 2 when the plains near Budehuc are available. The enemies level you up to 38ish, which I feel is much quicker than the slow pace on CH 1 Amur Plains to get to 34 and then do 2 war battles to match 38.

And it brings you all the way back to your last save when you die, skipping the Trinity Site
