Twister unite attack: nod to Chrono Trigger?

Post by KFCrispy »

heh, i just realized today that the Twister unite here is pretty much a copy of Chrono Trigger's Twister. where else would they get this strange idea where 3 characters stack on top of each other and start spinning to create a tornado? it's not like any of the Suikoden characters were known for spinning..

it could be, however, having read enough manga and seen enough anime, the idea is all that unique, and it's almost guaranteed that the guy who thought of it for chrono trigger borrowed the idea himself from some other source. as for it being crazy, ponder the rest of the suikoden universe's unite attacks. about half of them are ridiculous(in any and all senses of the word), so it's not like Twister isn't in good company.

yeah but many of the fun crazy unites are inspired by existing stuff... Gadget and his unites are pretty obvious.

They're like carbon copies of each other, so it was either a nod to Chrono Trigger or someone got lazy on us. I would like to think it was a nod to Chrono Trigger personally.
