That's fine, but sixty hours worth of main story progression is fairly excessive. I've yet to see a JRPG have such a consistently interesting plot for such a long time. Konami couldn't pull it off with Suikoden V, which already severely lowers my prospects of them managing it with an eventual sixth ...

If I play through an rpg game in 25 hours, I usually feel cheated. Suikoden 1 and 4 I could beat in far less than 25 hours, and in both cases I felt like there was a serious amount of material lacking. Most of the really good RPG's tend to involve 40+ hours to play, and I don't mean because you got...

I strongly object to Suikoden 6 needing to take 72 hours to complete. It took me an average of 25 hours to beat Suikoden and 30 to beat Suikoden II on my various playthroughs, which seems like the best length for such a game. Suikoden 5 took me 60 hours on my first playthrough, but having at least 5...

It's not so much that they're ignoring us, rather than they know there aren't enough of us left to make it worth developing and localizing new games.

The reason why people with actual skills in programming and artistry is because those people often have other obligations or their own personal non-fandom projects. Unless they're beyond passionate for a fan project, they won't have enough motivation to do that much work pro bono.

As much as I like the JRPG genre, todays lineup are pale in comparison to their predecessors. I'd rather play Grand Theft Auto than Disgaea, really. I'm ok with the anime design. What I don't like is the designers are trying to appeal to the "Moe fandom". They are making the characters lo...

Huh, I came across your Lymsleia earlier but couldn't download her. Do you have a team set up for them?
Also, I found a Suikoden heroes team with all five main series characters. It's pretty cool, though Tir using Zhou Yu's moveset is fairly boring. |

No, not really. The Mega Man franchise truly seems like the odd man out in terms of Capcom's "flagship" franchises. It doesn't sell very well, but has the most in-franchise releases out of any of Capcom's properties (don't count re-releases or ports). The recent foibles with Legends 3, Uni...

Konami really isn't. I can name about as many dead or dying Konami franchises as I could for Capcom. Mega Man's problem is that it never actually sold well. The business model was that they would make a ton of games on the same engine in the hopes that middling sales over four to six titles would ke...

So long as it doesn't pull a full War of the Lions, with horrible framerates, poor audio, disgusting slowdown on abilities and magic, and re-translating the entire script to make it immensely pretentious.
Yeah, I don't like War of the Lions compared to its PSOne version. |

It's safe to say that Kojima will never touch Suikoden, especially since he doesn't want to go back to Boktai and Solar Knights. His obsession with progressing Metal Gear makes him very unreliable when it comes to any other Konami project. You'll remember that he was only a slight contributor to Cas...

We are not talking about the PS1 titles. I'm talking about the graphics of V which was bad compared to the graphics of IV. The only way to force Konami in reviving the series is to make the JRPG dominant in the market again which is kinda impossible at the moment. But hey, Ni No Kuni set new standa...

Graphics - Another weak spot that pulled the game from being a masterpiece. I know graphics is not the series' forte. But it need a great visual to be recognized. FFXIII gained a lot of attention despite is bad reception. Flashy means attractive but it's not everything. But it help gain new fans. G...

It depends on what you consider bombing outside of Japan. Tierkreis didn't appear in NPD, so that's something.
Thing is, with the horrible amount of game units being sold on PSP and Vita outside of Japan, don't expect Konami to ever localize this game. |

True Runes don't really have consistent rules when it comes to the "take it off and die" stuff. It just happens that most bearers die of extraordinary causes during the games. When you look at the Dawn and Dusk runes, they could be considered equivalent to the two halves of the Rune of Beg...
