The bestiary is a listing of where all of the enemies in the game can be found, their HP, and their dropped items.

One of Suikoden 2's unique features is the "war mode." The war mode uses a simple system of battle to enrich the story of Suikoden 2, where nations clash and strategists try to outsmart one another.

Some units have two different stats. For example, some characters have different atk/def in the beginning of the game, and some characters who become unit members sometimes start out as Infantrys, such as Tsai. Those skills are listed in the order of initial skills and then skills later in the game.
