A guide to which levels characters receive rune slots at.

In Suikoden 2, the playable characters vary in when they get each rune slot available. Here is a complete table to help you. An asterisk means he or she(or it) has that rune slot available upon recruitment.

Rune slots with grey backgrounds are unavailable. Those with rune names have those runes locked into place. White slots with numbers are the levels at which those slots are gained; blank white slots are available from when the character is level 1.

* Riou and Jowy gain the Bright Shield and Black Sword runes at a specific point in the story. The runes equipped on their RHs prior to that will be placed back in the inventory.
