The High Priestess and leader of the Porpros-kin, Neira is devoted to the Sea Goddess, Ninulneda. She is the one who orders the Porpros-kin to attack the Company, attempting to barter with the Order to reclaim the stolen Beads of the Priestess. When this fails, she isolates Naineneis and allows no contact with humans. With the aid of Cougar, the Hero gains an audience with Neira, who, although she blames humans for the problems, allows him to enter the Crystal Cove to regain the stolen Beads. When the Hero returns with the Beads, Neira asks if he received a vision from them, revealing her knowledge of how one section of the Beads were actually a Chronicle. The Porpros-kin ally themselves with the Company.

Neira herself doesn’t join the company until the attack on Astrasia, but she serves as commander of their forces, personally volunteering to reclaim the Chronicle of the Cerulean Flux from Conon, as well as storming Fort Arc when the sand creatures appear there, as her magic can affect the creatures when other magic cannot.

Neira has the ability to invoke the voice of the Goddess Ninulneda, speaking the will of the Goddess. She often invokes it to scold the misbehaving Numnu, as well as to bless the troops before a major battle. Some suspect that she only playacts, but even Anya’s curiosity is deterred by the prospect of divine wrath.

After the One King’s fall, Neira disappears from the public sphere, devoting herself quietly to Ninulneda. - Matt620
