The adjutant of the Blades of Night’s Veil, Meruvis is considered by Chrodechild to have the finest blade arm of all the Blades, although Meruvis himself believes Chrodechild to be superior. Meruvis serves as the right hand of Chrodechild and directs many of the Blades activities while they serve the Magedom.

Meruvis often serves as foil to the hot-headed Roberto, and, along with Chrodechild, realized the trick that Danash was using to get the Hero’s Company and the Blades to view each other as rivals rather then comrades. Arrested with the rest of the Blades after the destruction of Ladzaa, Meruvis is sprung from jail by Chrodechild and Asad, and joins the Hero’s company.

Meruvis fights by Chrodechild’s side when trying to retake Pharamond, only to be stopped by Fredegund and Divine Edge. The Blades reconnoiter, and soon take the city with aid from Guntram. Meruvis is overjoyed to return to his homeland like the rest of the Blades.

Meruvis is quite intrigued when the Blademaster Mourgent makes his appearance, and becomes determined to learn more about him for the sake of Chrodechild, but ends up learning nothing. After the war ends and the Royal Knights of Astrasia become established again, Meruvis becomes their Commander. - Matt620
