A close friend to the Hero, Jale used to cause much trouble with his friend when he was younger in Citro Village, but Jale grew out of such shenanigans.

A fellow member of the Citro Defense Corps, Jale accompanied the Hero to defeat the Laggarts in the eastern plains. When the Hero finds the Chronicle of the Shining Legacy, Jale is given the Mark of the Stars. He accompanies the Hero to learn more about the books in Cynas.

Unlike the more hot-tempered Hero and Marica, he reacts very calmly to Macoute and the Order, although he is no less inclined to defend Citro once he learns the Order is headed there to subjugate it. He serves the company along with the Hero, defending the castle when it is attacked.

Jale is hurt by Dirk’s betrayal as badly as the Hero, and tries to get the Hero to stop moping once Dirk sabotages the relationship between the Hero and Diulf. He is also greatly saddened by Dirk’s death.

Jale is close to his mother Selen, whom he rarely sees, and challenges her to a fight when she arrives at the castle. When he beats her, he asks her to join the company, knowing that she would have joined earlier, but he wanted to ask her as a fellow warrior, not as her child.

After the fall of the Order, Jale continues work with the Hero’s company. He trains with his mother frequently. - Matt620
