A teenaged gladiator, Shoon grew up in a small village to a poor family. To help out, Shoon voluntarily became a gladiator in Stormfist. His family is constantly under watch by his master, so Shoon must follow his master and fight. If he ever tries to flee, his family will be in danger. As a gladiator, Shoon was a huge fan of Zegai, who was always so strong and wanted nothing more then a good fight.
Shoon is extremely grateful to Ferid for abolishing cruelty to gladiators, because he remembers what happens to gladiators that are too strong. However, the nobles are looking for excuses to harm their gladiators again, so, when Shoon hears voices that have a distinct Armes accent, he is hesitant to tell his master. But the Prince, who sympathizes with the gladiators, was a person that was approachable.
The Prince agreed to keep things quiet, and investigated. As it turns out, those Armes voices were indeed from soldiers, talking to none other then Zegai. Shoon chases the Armes men and catches them, where it is discovered that Zegai is actually from Armes. Shoon is upset at this revelation.
However, because Shoon was so instrumental in the prevention of the Armes's soldiers plot, Gizel keeps Shoon's secret of escape safe. Shoon is also selected to fight in the opening ceremonial match against the Prince, which was a surprise to him.
Shoon spends his time in Stormfist, unable to move around because of the Godwin control of the city. When he hears the Prince's army is moving towards the city, though, Shoon escapes through the hidden sewer passageway with several other gladiators into the Western Woods. He attacks the Godwin forces with the Prince's army. When the Twilight Rune is used, Shoon offers to go in and take out the bearer, but Zerase tells him that will be dangerous. She and the Prince will go, but Shoon offers to act as a guide with Georg.
Inside, Shoon falls into Childerich's trap, but is saved by the Twilight Rune's bearer. Afterwards, Shoon engages in combat with General Novum When the general is defeated and lies dying, it is Shoon who asks why defend it when Marscal isn't even at the castle.
When Shoon meets Sialeeds, he is confused as to her actions. He fights her, but is unable to capture her, as she turns her magic on them to escape. Shoon then returns to the Prince's castle, where he reflects that Sialeeds must have been doing what she did for the Prince's sake. She might have done it strangely, but it wasn't a betrayal.
After the war, Shoon decides to locate all of his old gladiator friends now that there is no gladiator slavery. He travels the world looking for his long-lost friends. - Matt620 (article), Basel (image)
