A being worshiped by the Order, the One King’s origins are surrounded in mystery. What is known is that he visits world after world, and rewrites their True Chronicles, making their worlds end with him. He eliminates Starbearers in worlds to accomplish this, as a world with no Starbearers will end and fuse with another world.

The One King’s name is only heard vaguely before. Cougar was fighting the One King before he perished, and Fredegund had heard Beardsley speak of that name. Once the Hero learns the name however, he learns that Atrie and Marica? are currently fighting to prevent the One King from appearing in their own worlds as well. Diadora also recalls that the One King destroyed her original world as well.

When Sophia joins, she tells the Hero that the One King was originally supposed to come to the current world and end it after five fusions, but Valfred was making more fusions occur in some kind of ritual to bring the One King over after twelve. After the twelfth fusion occurs, the One King descends. The Hero attempts to combat him, but his attacks have no effect. His False Chronicles start to glow, however, and the Hero’s attacks start to work, but can barely scratch the One King.

The One King brings all the Starbearers into his own world, and shows them visions of the happiest day of their lives, repeated perpetually. But, through one reason or another, the Starbearers reject this world, return to their own, and storm the One King’s Tower to defeat him with the twelve False Chronicles.

Inside the tower, the Hero notices a Stone Tablet of Promise, just like the one in his castle, with the only notable exception being that all the names on the tablet bar one was scorched off and illegible. Piecing things together from things told to him by Atrie and Zenoa, the Hero reason that the One King was once a man, who united all of the energy of the Starbearers into one vessel. The Hero attacks and defeats the One King along with many others from other worlds, including Atrie and Marica?

One the One King is defeated, Gateways to other worlds no longer function, and the Infinity continues as many worlds instead of one. - Matt620
