A former miner, Logan worked in the mines until the mines ran dry, and then found work managing the Grayridge inn.
A widower, Logan tries to care for his daughter, Erin, as best he can. When the Order comes to Grayridge, both Logan and Erin do not believe their philosophy, but Erin soon joins the Chapter hall, claiming to have found truth in the teachings. Logan is heartbroken, and tries everyday to get his daughter to return.
One night, Erin returns to the inn, claiming that she only went to the Chapter to infiltrate and expose Macoute as a fraud. She reason that funds he embezzled are being stored in the mines, and Logan immediately offers to take them to the mines. He thinks it is too dangerous for Erin to go, but when the two are revealed to be Starbearers, Logan relents as Erin could now defend herself.
Logan is impressed when Erin thinks up the scheme to allow Grayridge self-governance. When Erin resolves that she will go to Cynas to see t he headquarters of the Order with her own eyes, Logan wants to go and protect her, but Erin resolves that he needs to stay at Grayridge to help Gilliam run the city.
When the Hero returns to Grayridge, Logan helps the Hero use the Gateway in the mines to reach Flesaria Forest before the Order does, and when the Hero establishes his company, serves the Hero as a high-ranking commander, aiding in the defense of the castle when Fergus and Conon attack it, and successfully defends the northern lines against Fergus when the archivist is implanted with the Chronicle of Noble Steel.
Logan planned on bequeathing the inn in Grayridge to Erin, but she preferred to run the inn in the Hero’s Castle. He returns to run the Grayridge inn after the war, visiting Erin often. - Matt620
