|<< Hilda||Hina||Hinoyagi >>|
A young princess of Lonomakua, Hina is the niece of the Chief of the Islands. After the 9th fusion obliterates some of the Lomomakua Islands, Hina stills recalls that there were supposed to be islands there, and attempts to contact the Hero’s Company when she hears that they think the same way. Unlike some other Starbearers, who had vague memories, the clarity of Hina's memory astounded the Hero, and he moved quickly to bring her.
The Dromon Pirate, Xebec, was acquainted with Hina as they studied at the Lonomakua Academy together. Thus, the pirates offer to retrieve her, which they do, and bring her to the Hero. When she meets the Hero, she joins his entourage to prevent any other tragedies to befall Lonomakua.
Despite being the same age as the Hero, Hina is very short in stature and considered to be younger, a fact which causes her no end of frustration. She gets angry when people use the words “short” or “small” in sentences, even if they aren’t discussing her, as she thinks people are picking on her. She is also uncomfortable around Manaril because they are the same height, yet Manaril is a few years younger.
Hina is very conscious of her position as niece of Lonomakua’s chief, and considers herself the official representative of her people, even though she understands most others do not place high importance on that. After the One King’s fall, she enters the Ministry of Lonomakua to help her father and uncle. She extends a position to Xebec, but he turns it down. - Matt620
