The vassal of the former King of Astrasia, Guntram was in charge of organizing the Astrasian resistance against the order. When Servillah and Lycia scouted out the capital of Pharamond, they found Guntram, who was eager to speak to the Hero’s company about removing the Order from the city. He was overjoyed as well to see Princess Chrodechild alive and well, as well as delivering to her the bitter news that Fredegund is reviled among the populace. He tells the company that the people of Astrasia did not accept the Order’s teachings, and would gladly help the company remove the Order.

Guntram is overjoyed when Fredegund renounces the Order and rejoins her sister. When Chrodechild shows the Hero the Chronicle of the Twin Blades, Guntram also sees the vision, revealing his position as Starbearer.

Guntram stations himself in Pharamond during the war. He recalls the despair of Lathilda, a lady-in-waiting who fled to the woods to end her life after the Order took over. He works diligently alongside the princesses, and when the war ends, he serves the new Queen Chrodechild as Astrasia’s Prime Minister. - Matt620
